Commercial Project Manager Aircraft Maintenance (m/f/d)

HeliService is looking for a Project Manager (m/f/d), based in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, who is overseeing the maintenance of helicopters. The role of the project manager is to oversee the progress of the maintenance on the aircraft from all aspects: technical progress, any potential delays, trouble shooting need, capturing the costs associated with the maintenance and making sure those are invoiced. At the same time the project manager must keep the customer informed on the very progress of the maintenance.

 

Your Tasks

  • Main interface and key account manager to the customer
  • Ensuring that the maintenance of an external aircraft is completed in time and within budge
  • Internal coordination with maintenance, procurement, sales, store and finance
  • Comprehensive and independent preparation and generation of technical bids
    • describing maintenance work to be conducted on helicopters
    • describing the different work packages and tasks
    • including an estimate on the man hours
    • listing the material in terms of components and consumables
  • Close alignment with maintenance department, frequent feedback loops to ensure generated technical bids reflecting expected reality of maintenance work
  • To some extend project management of technical department, when for instance pre-inspections are required to provide an accurate bid
  • Communication with the customer, entailing provision of technical bid, clarification of questions, clarification of invoices and any technical details therein
  • Generation of invoices, encompassing all tasks and work which has been conducted on the helicopter, including material, direct and indirect man hours
  • Fostering of HeliService’s Customer Information Portal (progress of the maintenance on the helicopter)
  • Gathering and documentation of general market intelligence
  • Generation of overview of potential customers in the market
  • Regular screening of tender websites
  • Management of contract documentation, documentation by customer and contracts in general, internal distribution of relevant sections

Your Profile

  • Technical studies or vocational training with relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of work experience in aviation or an industry with comparable complexity
  • Background in the helicopter industry is of advantage
  • Thorough understanding of technology with a complexity comparable to helicopters
  • Project management experience
  • Technical bid preparation experience is of advantage
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office, especially Excel
  • Business fluent English and ideally German language skills
  • Commercial mindset
  • Able to execute and complete projects by her / himself
  • Very analytical and structured way of working
  • Independent and self-driven individual
